Nova Roma, the new city-building game from Lion Shield and Hooded Horse, finally launched today. After a two-month delay, the game is now ready to make its Early Access debut on Steam and Xbox Game Pass.

The day has come for Nova Roma to launch Early Access. The game was originally supposed to be released in January but with valuable feedback from the demo, the development team had to postpone it. But now, the green light is still on so we can go.
Nova Roma launches today in early access March 26, 2026 at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM GMT.
Apart from Steam, the game also launched day one on Xbox Game Pass for Ultimate and PC members. As usual, Premium subscribers will have to wait a few months (or even until the full release) before they can find the library.
Nova Roma is the second of only 2 first-day launches in service this month. But it’s worth noting that despite this, the March 2026 lineup contains excellent games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Disco Elysium. But then again, the month isn’t over yet, maybe we’ll get some foreshadowing today in the Xbox Partner Preview.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google.
