Theorycraft Games has officially announced that its MOBA game, Supervive, will end its live service in February 2026. Since the game was designed to be played online only, it will no longer be accessible after the closing date.

Supervive Shuts Down Servers in February 2026

Other live service games are sinking. Theorycraft Games has announced that its MOBA title Supervive will end its live service in February 2026, marking another exit from the notoriously difficult genre. Multiplayer online games demand large, long-term player involvement, plus the market is already dominated by giants like League of Legends and World of Warcraft.

However, when Supervive was first announced, many believed it had a real chance. The project was developed by former Riot Games employees including Joe Tung, former Executive Vice President at Riot, so given the team’s experience in building and operating some of the industry’s most successful multiplayer games, expectations are high. Initial open prototyping generated strong interest, and many believed that Supervive had the foundation necessary to make a breakthrough.

Despite the momentum, the game struggled after launch. After its 1.0 release in July, Supervive entered its deprecation phase just five months later. Theorycraft explained that while the team was proud of the mechanical systems and gameplay foundation they built, the game ultimately failed to capture players’ attention in the long term.

Executive Producer Jenn Nam said that although many players downloaded and tried Supervive, most dropped out after only a short time. The majority of new players do not stick around beyond the first few hours, resulting in an active user base that is too small to sustain ongoing development and operations.

Supervive will close on February 25 at 18.00 PST / 21.00 ET or 02.00 GMT the next day. Towards the close, Theorycraft released Patch 2.04 which is the final update for the game. The patch is free for all players and includes new modes, holiday-themed skins, and more.

All real money purchases have been disabled and Theorycraft is offering full refunds for purchases made within 90 days prior to the sunset announcement, covering transactions from September 16 to December 15. The in-game store will remain open until the closing date for players who wish to spend remaining in-game currency.

While Supervive is coming to an end, Theorycraft Games continues. The studio plans to take a short hiatus before returning with future projects, shifting its focus to games positioned between indie and AAA.
